The install was very easy, and it works great.
I installed this set on my brand new SCO 7-gear bike with no trouble at all - colored wiring made it SO easy, and I am very excited to get out cruising the landscapes :-)
But...
In Denmark, all electric bikes MUST be electronically limited and LOCKED to max. 25 km/h, and throttle MUST be locked to only 6 km/h.
On the YosePower website it says:
"3) the max speed of motor is 25km/h"
"* As a professional seller, we strictly abide by local laws and regulations..."
- sadly, this is not quite true...
The factory setting is adjustable and set to 40 km/h and the throttle is set to max. speed as well - not applicable to danish laws.
Make sure to read the manual and adjust to 25 km/h and limit throttle to 6 km/h for walking - otherwise insurance will not cover the expenses, if you are in an accident.
The fine for riding a speed-modified electric bike is also several thousand in Denmark.
Even with these measurements taken, it may not be enough to to keep you out of trouble. FYI

I am very pleased with this e-bike conversion kit. It transformed my standard Decathlon B'twin Riverside 500 into a powerful, reliable electric bike. The performance after assembly is fantastic, but if you are planning to install this exact kit on a Riverside 500, here are two practical tips regarding installation quirks to help you along the way:
1. Non-Derailleur Side Dropout Modification
Issue: The rear axle/dropout slot on the non-derailleur side was slightly too tight for the motor axle.
Solution: A tiny amount of material needs to be removed. Just take a small metal hand file and lightly widen the dropout slot. It takes less than two minutes and ensures a snug, perfect fit without forcing the axle.
2. Battery Mount Reinforcement
Issue: While the battery holder does align with the original water bottle cage mounting points, relying only on those two stock points feels a bit flimsy.
Solution: For maximum stability, I recommend drilling two additional mounting holes into the frame. Because space inside the frame triangle can be tight, using a standard drill equipped with a right-angle drill attachment and a hex-shank step drill bit makes the job quick and easy.
Note: The included rubber mounting pads/spacers are fantastic—they dampen vibrations effectively and protect the frame paint!
Final Verdict
Despite the two minor physical adjustments needed during installation, the kit works flawlessly on the B'twin Riverside 500. The end result is extremely sturdy, clean, and a complete joy to ride. Highly recommended!
The only point worth noting is that you absolutely must install a cartridge-style bottom bracket if your bike doesn’t already have one. The tool meant for tightening the lockrings on a cartridge bottom bracket didn’t fit—it was the wrong size—so I had to go to a nearby bike shop to buy the right tool (and borrow a wrench) to tighten the components.
