When I put the holder on the mounting points of my bicycle's bottle cage, the battery caught on the vertical tube of the bike frame at the bottom, and the battery did not go all the way down. This was because the middle mounting hole of the battery holder does not have an adjustment option. Now I have to install a new mount on the upper mounting point. If the middle mounting point had been adjustable, this problem would not have happened. I am looking forward to going for a test ride, as long as I can properly attach the battery holder.

So, at first I was very disappointed because my 10 speed cassette would not fit onto the hub. I was ready for returning it! I even had it all packed! Had a chat with Winona who assured me the kit was compatible with 10 speed cassettes but would accept a return free of charge. After thinking about it I decided to have one last look. Fortunately I had a magnifying glass handy and looked closely at the hub….. one of the splines was badly machined with a very small area at the base sticking out (1mm)! A quick doctoring with a Dremel and the cassette fitted perfectly! Went for a first ride this morning and I can say I am so impressed. I am a 73 year old who has not been near a bike for 35 years and this kit is perfect for me. 25km/hr is fast enough for me, I don’t want to be hurtling down the road at 40km/hr.
I am really happy with this kit. Everything is well made and thought through. Quality is good plus you have all the tools needed for installation included with the kit. 100 km done and plenty more to be covered. Thank You!
