"I am 74 years old and had not been on a bike for 35 years before trying an Ebike.
I took to it straight away and now cycle 12 to 18 miles every day, weather permitting, and have now been over 1,100 miles with no issues at all with the Yosepower kit. I have not found any hill I cannot climb with ease.

I bought a mountain bike to convert and chose the Yosepower 350w kit with the controller integral with the battery mount, my aim being to produce a very clean build that looked like it had been manufactured as an Ebike.

Using power assist level 1 and 2 (Eco), I got a range of 62 miles on a single charge. I tend now to ride in level 3 (Normal) and only need to go to level 4 on certain hills—level 5 is rarely needed. I did not fit the throttle and can easily pull away in top gear.

I am so pleased with the performance that I have been upgrading other parts on the bike and now have my ideal Ebike.
The bike came with 21 gears, a 7-speed rear derailleur, and a 3-speed front one. The front gears were never used, and only the two smallest gears (14 and 16 tooth) at the rear were ever needed, so I have now replaced the front crankset with a single larger 48-tooth gear. This eliminates ghost pedaling—before, I could easily reach a point where I could pedal faster than the wheels would turn. I have a video showing how this and other improvements were made:
