Perfect AAA+

Der Umbau erfordert ein wenig Erfahrung und etwas handwerkliches Geschick. An meinem Fahrrad (Cannondale Trekking 28`` mit Kettenschaltung (3er Blatt vorn), sowie hydraulischen Magura Bremsen) benötigte ich für den Magnetgeber am Tretlager ein Set für Holowtech II Lager. Dieses Set passt bei dem kleinen Kettenblatt mit 26 Zähnen, wenn man die kleinen vorgebohrten Löcher an dem Magnet-Set auf 8-10 mm aufbohrt. Man löst die Schrauben an dem kleinen Kettenblatt und schraubt dann alles zusammen wieder an. Das 3. mitgelieferte Plastikteil wird nicht benötigt. Für die Magura Bremsen habe ich das Set für hydraulische Bremsen leider nicht anbringen können - passt einfach nicht sinnvoll dran. Ich benutze das Rad ohne Bremsenunterbrecher sowie Gashebel. Es funktioniert tadellos. Der Motor läuft sehr leise und er unterstützt in Stufe 5 bis +/- 25 km/h. Die mitgelieferte Bedinienungsanleitung (mehrsprachig) wurde mit einem Übersetzungsprogramm erstellt mit entsprechenden kleinen Fehlern. Sie ist aber verständlich und alles passt perfekt. Auch ohne Gashebel ist eine Schiebehilfe vorhanden, wenn man am Display die (-) Taste drückt. Die Radgröße wird nur in Zoll eingestellt (bei mir 28“). DA ich keine Bremsunterbrecher habe, muss ich beim Bremsen darauf achten nicht zu kurbeln, da der Motor sonst weiter antreibt.
Fazit:
Insgesamt eine perfekte kostengünstige Lösung, wenn man seinen alten Drahtesel liebt und mit ihm zusammen vom Bio Biker zum E-Biker transformieren möchte. 1 Punktabzug nur, weil es für das Holowtechset keine Anleitung gibt. Hier muss man im Internet recherchieren, was ich sehr empfehle - es gibt einiges zu beachten!

Monté sur un VTC DÉCATHLON RIVERSIDE 500. Aucun problème de montage rencontré, tous les outils nécessaires sont fournis, c’est très appréciable. L’autonomie en utilisant normalement, avec des montées et du plat, l’assistance devrait dépasser 100km. L’ensemble du kit permet d’avoir un vélo qui aurait coûté bien plus cher dans le commerce.
J’ai déjà prévu de racheter un autre kit pour mes proches.

J’espère que le matériel durera longtemps 😊

I'm not an expert, so I asked for email support. I had a long email exchange with the customer service and it was good, very good.
Product arrived fastly and i did completely homemade installation, and i didn't have big problems. Only I needed a spacer for the freewheel.
All special keys are in the box and it's fine, cause i didn't need to spend time to find and buy them.
Only I asked for a rear luggage rack battery, but it was unavailable in combination for my bike specs, anyway it's not a problem for me.
I assembled the entire kit in a few hours and everything works perfectly.
I hope it will have long life.

J’ai un vélo avec disque et je dois prendre l’option « capteur » j’ai reçu le kit rapidement mais j’attends toujours les capteurs, il n’y a plus (ou plutôt pas) de stock en Allemagne… mon vélo est prêt, ça fonctionne mais je ne peux pas essayer sereinement le vélo sans ses capteurs j’attends ma livraison déjà depuis plus de 20 jours… je n’ai pas pu partir avec mon vélo en vacances…
Sinon la notice de montage est clair si vous êtes technicien.
Aucune notice ni information sur le boîtier de commande du kit. Les outils spéciaux fournis au kit son un vrai plus !
J’aurais aimé pouvoir choisir le mode de livraison… même en payant.
Dommage de ne pas s’entourer d’entreprise sérieuse pour un si beau produit.

My first kit, and I don’t regret it. I installed it with my Rockrider ST520 and it works perfectly. Installation is quite easy, the torque sensor gives a really smooth feeling and overall weigh is very low (battery is approx 1.4kg and motor + wheel approx 4kg). I appreciate the product is certified (max speed 25kmh) even if I wish there was a simple way to increase this limit for flat terrain :) However I would recommend. Maybe it would be great if we have the opportunity to buy an additional battery separately to increase range for very long trip (with high elevation gain)

But now I have a new Problem:
Yesterday I wanted to start a Ride,
suddenly the Front-Motor blocked when
I pressed the Accelerator.
Display showed Error 09.
When I checked the Controller it became very warm, nearly HOT !!!
Can You help me ?

Hi,
my conversion kit works well, however it's worth to consider a few elements for potential customers, basing on my case:
1. Help better to recognise between cassete and freewheel before buy
2. Place for battery - I had to use additional screws to place it on bike
3. There should be more intuitive manula for LCD setting, some of them are difficult to understand
4. I have my brakes buil in gears change so I could not use applied brake sensons. Instead I had to buy external sensors for brakes.
5. The screws form bidon for holding controller (battery adapter) are too long in may case and don't match height of holes in adapter, making conflict with battery slide in.
The rest of tools are very useful and idea of ebike DIY is great.

Before purchasing the kit, I contacted customer support to make sure I wouldn’t make any mistakes with my order. The reply was quick and efficient, as were all subsequent exchanges I had with them. I received the kit within 7 days of placing my order. Installation was easy, thanks to the documentation, the color coding, and the many YouTube videos showing the process. All the necessary equipment is provided, which is very convenient and well thought out. I enjoyed installing the kit — it’s a pleasant task to carry out, even if you’re not particularly handy.

Two points could be improved:
Customers should be able to choose whether they receive the connected brake levers or the system compatible with hydraulic brakes. I needed the latter, which I had to purchase separately, so I have no use for the “standard” brakes automatically included. This makes it unnecessary, slightly more expensive, and less environmentally friendly.
The second issue, experienced by many users, is that the battery mount holes do not align with those pre-installed on the bike. An adapter can be purchased separately, but this is another extra expense on top of the hydraulic brake compatibility system. Given the number of people affected by this mounting issue, I think it would make sense to provide this battery adapter plate as standard, at no extra cost. Personally, I chose to install new rivets on the frame (be careful to leave enough space to insert and remove the battery when you take your measurements), but this requires some DIY skills and slightly weakens the frame due to the extra holes.
In use, the kit works extremely well; the 13 Ah battery lasts me about 60 km.

In summary: great customer service, easy installation, and perfect for daily use.
